JOB OVERVIEW

The Social Media Coordinator is the individual responsible for the CSAWCC’s social media presence and social media marketing communications, including graphic design needs. As the Social Media Coordinator, under the direction of the Executive Director and the CSAWCC leadership team, you will manage the social media accounts of CSAWCC, create social media content, graphic design, and manage and respond to inquiries from our social media account while working to engage our followers and increase our presence. The successful candidate for this role can be located remotely, anywhere in Canada.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and manage social media calendar and content strategy for the brand and execute against it for all social media platforms, including (but not limited to) Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and BlueSky
  • Contribute to and regularly update external social sites
  • Recommend new social media tools, sites, and apps as part of the social media mix
  • Convey a sense of community and build our following based on valuable content and mutual sharing
  • Use creative means to drive strong engagement and organic growth of all social media properties
  • Work with and acquire influencers or people we could partner with on social media platforms
  • Effectively monitor and report on social media results on a monthly basis
  • May assist in other social media or communications activities as directed by the President and CEO and/or the National Board

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred: Post-secondary education in a field related to social media, social media marketing, or marketing
  • Preferred: Minimum 1 (one) year of relevant experience
  • Experience creating digital marketing and social media content
  • Experience in design software, such as Canva
  • Creativity
  • You are a highly energetic, detail-oriented and proactive person
  • Ability to work effectively in team and independent roles
  • Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Bluiesky, video and graphics editing software such as Canva
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
  • Ability to prioritize, to be flexible, and to meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work in a diverse, multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary team environment.
